Choosing your Subjects
Do you have clear favourite subjects that you are good at?
|
Do you have one or two strengths and are looking for other subjects to match them?
Note there is no “right” combination of subjects. Everything can go with everything! |
Are there any rules for choosing subjects?
|
At Harris Westminster Sixth Form, all students study four subjects.
Your subject selection on your application form is your current best guess. It is absolutely fine if you change your mind over the course of Year 11 because you do not finalise your subjects until enrolment day in August (which is GCSE Results Day)
On enrolment day you will have a chance to talk to a member of HWSF staff about your choices and change them as much as you like, providing you have the GCSE grades to support you succeeding in them.
Please note that the subjects below are taught at Westminster School and you will need to go through an additional exam/interview process to be considered for those courses. This does not affect your offer at Harris Westminster Sixth Form. If you are not offered a place on a Westminster School course then you will be asked to change your option to a subject taught at Harris Westminster.
Drama and Theatre Studies | German | (Ancient) Greek | Latin | Music | Russian |
You will not be considered for a place on the Russian course if you are a native speaker.
